2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Review – The World’s Most Powerful Production Sedan

Nowadays, with gas prices getting even higher and higher while laws are being passed that put strict regulations on EPA emissions, the market for the muscle car gets even thinner and thinner; but for purists out there, Dodge brings us yet another beast of a car, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. The regular Charger while already powerful on its own, is a muscle car with four doors to function as a powerful 4-door family car with enough power to provide fast travel from point A to B; the Hellcat takes this to the next level, well maybe a few more levels.

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Review - The World's Most Powerful Production Sedan

The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is Meant to Scare You, Beautifully

On the outside, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat resembles the regular Charger with a slight difference in the grille design and a few stealthy placements of the hellcat logo. This is what makes the Hellcat nice; it has two personalities and the exterior adds to that stealthy appeal. Under the hood is a supercharged V-8 delivering a max power output of 707hp and 650lb-ft of torque making this the most powerful production 4 door in the market. All that power gets sent to the rear wheels via a quick shifting 8-speed auto.

On the inside, the interior is a bit reserved. With red accents on the side panels and the seats. All in all, the interior is that of the top trim Charger with a few changes on the gauges, some accents on surfaces, as well as bucket seats that keep you from being ripped from your seating position should you choose to do so.

Driving the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat is an absolute horror ride; but there’s two faces to this beast; once you got over the beastly starting sequence where the V8 roars to life and the supercharger howls like a banshee sucking souls of little children, everything is calm once the engine warms up, drive it like a normal person and it sounds and handles like your typical Dodge Charger. However; insert the red key to unlock all 707 horses and put a little bit more pressure on the gas pedal and the Hellcat presents itself; power delivery is instantaneous on the straights as well as on corners as the six piston brakes up front slows the car down really quick to be able to manoeuver on corners well once you clear the corners, soak up the G-Forces once again as you go crazy on the throttle.

The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat has stealthy looks, beastly sound, powerful and agile, also doubles as a family car. However, even when driving normal, don’t expect fuel economy from this car. You could empty the tank in 20 minutes when using all 707 horses. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat delivers practicality as a family car, as well as horror as the world’s most powerful 4 door.
