The 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit is Given a Dash of Tesla

The new 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit has been given an upgrade to its suspension, brakes, and cooling. This is Dodge’s cop car offering, and it also has some other features designed for law enforcement. For instance, the car company did away with the laptop and replaced it with a huge 12.1-inch Tesla-esque screen. The screen is located in the center of the dashboard that works very much like a PC monitor. There are also department computers that are installed elsewhere within the car.

The 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit is the Company’s Answer to Law Enforcement

Police cars are effective mobile offices for law enforcement which allow for 12-hour shifts; and the 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit can certainly handle that and more. The idea behind the Pursuit is to bring our law enforcement professionals to have the comfort and efficient use of space while making sure that their city, town, or locale stays safe at all times.

Squad cars are pretty cramped places; thus, installing new devices, even if they are to help with police work, can make the interiors an even more cramped space to deal with. The Dodge Charger Pursuit redefines this so that the “guys in blue” are able to deal with various law enforcement tasks with ease and comfort.

Speaking of installing new devices, Tesla Motors has installed an iPad-like device onto their all-electric Model S’s dashboard. It boasts quite the large screen as it is 17-inches. It also replaces just about every button found in the car. With this in mind, Dodge is doing something similar to their Charger Pursuit with the addition of the computer screen on the car’s dashboard. This deals away with the laptop which takes up a lot of space.

The new screen has the standard controls like air condition, radio, and the others. It works all of these on a 1024 x 768 display screen. The resolution is great for a small screen placed on a space that was primarily used for a PC. The screen can even be used when officers are wearing their gloves. There are even a number of other features of the screen without letting the user leave PC mode.

The 2016 Dodge Charger Pursuit looks more comfortable and definitely is less cramped as compared to the conventional cop car. For officers that are always on a 12-hour shift, comfort should be ideal to provide better law enforcement as it delivers less stress.
