Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Mini-ITX Case Reviews

The Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Mini-ITX Case can handle high-end graphics cards to physically fit within the confines of the tower casing, but it would seem that this might be aimed to more mid-range hardware. This could be due to the case to not have any active cooling. For a more direct approach, the case does not offer support for fans to be placed in it at all. The lack of the ability to install a case fan makes the RVZ02 rely on the CPU, PSU, and GPU cooling to move air in and out of the case. Hence, powerful devices and peripherals that are added into the computer rig, which can cause more heat to build up, then the case might deliver a bit of a problem.

The Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Mini-ITX Case Was Built to Provide Gamers a More Comfortable Approach to Building a Gaming Rig

The Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Mini-ITX Case is easily one of the most compact cases to build a computer system built for playing games. Notes for the installation of this case is considerably easier as compared to its predecessor, the RVZ01.

The Raven RVZ02 is a sleek computer case while offering a good balance alongside of its aggressive design qualities. The power button is situated at the bottom left corner of the case, and it can be said that the triangular shape of the button does look pretty refreshing as compared to many times the on/off switch for the computer sported the conventional circle.

The RVZ02 is 380-millimeters wide, 87-millimeters thick, and 370-millimeters deep. This gives it an internal capacity of just about 12 liters. It can also hold a weight for up to 3.2-kilograms. Perhaps one unique quality of this case is that it needs a pair of supplied brackets to make it stand properly. Said brackets are adjustable so it is possible to lay the tower casing flat as well.

As a system, the casing was designed to be a Steam Machine. Hence, the 12.7-millimeter external slim optical or 9.5-millimeter drive bay will spoil the design by a bit. Still, it would be nice to have the case without the drive bay for a sleeker look.

Even though the Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Mini-ITX Case does not cater to having an extra fan installed into it, there is a large clear ventilated panel at the bottom half on its right side. This also gives curious onlookers what’s going on inside the computer. This also provides the internal hardware with a much needed dose of cool air.
