The Behmor Brewer Connected Coffee Maker is Joe Behm’s latest creation, and he is a man that takes his coffee seriously. Back in 2007, he invented a home coffeemaker called the Behmor 1600. Jump to today and technology has been kind to the coffee-making sector. His latest creation is that of a sleek-looking smart coffeemaker that utilizes the home Wi-Fi network to connect to your Android or iOS smartphone. It does offer some interesting features that you won’t normally get with the traditional coffeemaker, which include variable brewing temperatures, a pulsating shower head (for full-bean coverage while brewing), and a pre-soak setting. It can deliver a very tasty pot of coffee, but it does fall short as it is missing a few smart features such as scheduling and the ability to save custom brewing profiles.
The Behmor Brewer Connected Coffee Maker Falls Short of Being a Really Good Smart Coffee-Making Machine
For its design, the Behmor Brewer Connected Coffee Maker looks slick and futuristic due to its matte black and brushed aluminum finish. It is of a three-legged design and it stands at 15.2-inches in height with a 9.2-inch round base. There is also a 4.2-inch round indentation which assures the carafe to be perfectly seated while underneath the filter basket valve.
Speaking of the carafe, it is of a stainless steel type with a black handle and lid. It is able to hold 40-ounces of coffee (or eight 5-ounce cups). Its thermal elements keep the coffee warm for up to two hours. It does not use a base heater in order to keep the coffee hot or warm after brewing.
Since the Behmor Brewer Connected Coffeemaker is a connected appliance, you can take control of it with an accompanying app. In the app, you can manually start a brew with the press of a button inside the app. When you press the plus icon on the app, there will be three new buttons that will appear, and these are Brew, Buzz, and Craft. While the app is really useful when controlling the coffeemaker from afar, it will not, however, deliver a notification once the brew was complete. Therefore, there may be times you would neglect it and might even forget that you were brewing coffee.
But when it comes to the final output, the Behmor Brewer Connected Coffee Maker does not fail to deliver as it is able to offer a cup of java that can rival even the most experienced barista. Many would just hope that there are more to this coffee machine to offer.
